Bridget Williams
From Greensburg, PA, Bridget joins #TeamEssx! At the University of Virginia, Bridget re-wrote the record books for the Cavaliers beginning her freshman year indoors and outdoors. Eventually, Bridget would raise the indoor and outdoor school records to 4.41m/14’5.5” and 4.46m/14’7.5”, respectively; an improvement of over 40cm/1’4.75”. Bridget was a 2-time ACC Champion (outdoors 2018 and 2019) as well as a three-time All-American (outdoor 2018, ‘19 and indoor 2019). So far, in her young professional career, Bridget has jumped 4.70m or higher in four competitions including the 2022 U.S. Indoor Championships where she earned the bronze medal. She competed at the World University Games in Napoli, Italy in 2020 placing third while representing the United States. While at that meet, a fellow competitor’s poles were misplaced, and Bridget selflessly lent her poles to her competitor and was awarded the Fair Play Award. Bridget currently lives and trains in Blacksburg, VA and her PB’s are 4.71m/15’5.5” outdoor and 4.77m/15’7.5” indoors.
