Just four short weeks ago UST-ESSX Athlete Sam Kendricks was in Birmingham at the IAAF 2018 World Indoor Championships, ready to meet the challenges and competition that faced him.
This was a competitive meet for all of the Men’s Pole Vault but Sam undoubtedly faced the competition head on and cleared 5.85M winning the Silver Medal. Sam demonstrates the highest example of sportsmanship and at the same time, he is a force to be reckoned with.
After winning the Silver medal in one interview he said “I am ecstatic with Silver. Every time cannot be your day to win but you can try to be at your most competitive and that’s what I aimed to do and I aim to be.”
Our very own VP of Development and Engineering Don Rahrig was able to attend the event. "Watching Sam compete at the world championships in person was such a treat. He is such a fierce competitor, but at the same time, encouraging to all of those in the competition. We at ESSX are so proud to have such a great athlete, and an even better role model, using our poles."
We are proud and honored to have Sam Kendricks trust ESSX High Performance Vaulting Poles, he is a wonderful ambassador and role model for the sport of Vaulting. We look forward to supporting him in all of his successes this 2018 Season.
